We take millions of steps throughout our lives. One of the most important movements you have is that which takes place through your hips -movements involved in walking, helping us stand upright or other more complex movements. If there is chronic tension in areas of the lower back and hip area, walking or other movements through the hips will be compromised.

From this 4 hour workshop, you will learn:

1. How the brain and the muscles are integrated and experience the integration of the mind and movement.
2. How to re-program your mind to lengthen chronically contracted muscles.
3. Gentle exercises that you can do on your own to help create more ease in movement through the hips.

Appropriate for:

· Seniors with arthritis or problems walking (knee and foot problems are usually linked to hip misuse as well).
· Athletes/dancers/fitness followers that depend on the movements of the hips
· Yoga or other mind-body movement practitioners/instructors
· Those interested in medication-free ways to prevent and alleviate pain, chronic tension, and stiffness

Somatic Education offers a way to freedom from stiffness, weakness, or pain that is the result of chronic tension. It is based on basic neuroscience about how the brain and muscles work together and offers gentle and easy exercises that are appropriate for all fitness levels.

Beginners Belly Dance (all ages)

I started my journey 10 years ago. I fell in love with art of Middle Eastern Dance, and was the co~creator of The Goddess Coyle Belly Dance Troupe. I have danced everywhere, taught many many workshops and classes all throughout New England. With my Goddess Coyle Troupe, we created a play called " Reclaim the Goddess Within", which ventured on finding your inner goddess, through light and dark. I have been very fortunate to do many amazing things with this dance. I never intended to perform or teach, but funny how life takes you on a journey you never expected. With the Goddess Coyle, we ended up gravitating to helping women find their spirits again. We help young women be responsible with their sensuality, and provide a very supportive, loving atmosphere, to be creative, and go through like experiences. Come as you are all ages all body types.

Beginners Belly Dance is on Thursdays 6:30-8 PM. Cost is $15

Here's to the future, and what it may bring. Finding your passion, and living it. It is what life is meant to be…in my heart. I look forward to inspiring passions in your hearts, and creating a magical connection with you all. ~ Holly Ferreira

CHAKRA CLASS...The Body’s Energy Stations

Come and explore the amazing vortexes of energy that hold our history, our personal story. The

word chakra means disc, vortex or wheel. These centers of electromagnetic and subtle energies

reside in seven primary stations that start at the pubic area and run up the center of our body and

over to the top of our head.

Energy is genetically coded in these centers. An imprint of every important or emotionally

significant event you have experienced is believed to be recorded in your chakra energy. It is

vital to your growth, health and your souls longing to care for these centers.

This is a class designed to give you a complete over view of the chakra system. We will learn the

main function of each chakra and its connection to the organs and other parts of the body. The

connection to our physical and psychological evolution. We will learn about survival, sex, power,

love, communication, clairvoyance and wisdom!

There will be time allotted during the class to break up into small groups to balance each other’s chakras. This will be guided instruction. This is an outstanding way to practice and to take this technique home to assist family and friends. There are class handouts to also use at home.

Course Description You are invited to embrace a remarkable gift of healing, the ability to heal with your hands. Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is an energy healing therapy. 'Rei' is the Japanese word, which means "universal" and is referring to a higher dimension of light and soul. 'Ki' is the Japanese word, which means the vital life force energy, which interpenetrates and connects everything in this Universe. The Usui system of Reiki is one of the easiest natural healing systems known today. It is an effective way to transfer Universal Life Energy. Once you have been "at-tuned" to Reiki, you have opened up a channel and Reiki flows through your hands. You can call on this energy at any time. It may often flow on it own accord. You will always have this energy for healing yourself and others.
